What is a PTO?
Lineweaver Elementary Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO) has a mission to enhance and support the educational experience at Lineweaver Elementary.
Our goal is to strengthen the bond between school and home by fostering greater parental engagement in their children’s educational journey. To achieve this, we are focusing on strategies such as encouraging volunteer participation and seeking crowdfunding support.
Our Bylaws can be found online here: Lineweaver PTO Bylaws
Can anyone join the PTO?
Yes! Lineweaver parents, guardians, family members, teachers, and staff are welcome to participate in the PTO. Your input is valued, your voice can be heard, and your support helps build a stronger school community for all of our children.
How do I become more involved?
You can get involved by volunteering at events, attending PTO meetings, donating, or purchasing items from our school shop. We know every family’s schedule is different, and every form of support helps our students, staff, and school community.
Do I have to attend meetings to help?
No. Attending meetings is a great way to stay informed and share ideas, but it is not the only way to support the PTO. Families can also help by volunteering at events, donating items or funds, sharing PTO information, or supporting the school shop.
Are donations tax deductible?
Yes! Lineweaver PTO is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations may be tax deductible, and families should consult a tax professional with any specific tax questions.
Where does PTO money go?
Funds raised by the PTO help support school events, student activities, classroom needs, staff appreciation, and other projects that benefit the Lineweaver school community.

The PTO Board includes the President, Vice President, Communications Director, Secretary, and Treasurer. Board members serve one-year terms, with elections held each May at the final General Assembly Meeting of the school year.
